I read this book (and Sea of Monsters) to my 8 and 9 year old kids and they loved it. My 8 year old is also dyslexic and I think having a hero with a learning disability is empowering to him.We're starting Book 3 this week, but so far the series has been really engaging and always leaves the kids asking for more! And to be honest, I want to read it every night as well. There's excitement, mystery, suspense, attempted murder, and even a bit of a crush woven in there...what's not to love?
